Here are some things to keep you working at home whilst we're unable to get to school.
I look forward to seeing how you've got on with this on Monday.
Literacy –
Use BBC news website, television and newspapers to research and develop ideas for your own news report on the cold weather. Please write your own newspaper report.
Consider – The headline, what will grab attention but also give information about the story?
- Make sure you answer all the ‘w’ questions in the article (who, what, where, when, why)
_ Use 3rd person and formal writing
_ If you can you might like to take photographs to add to your newspaper report!
Numeracy
Can you order these fractions?
a) 8/12, 5/6, 3/4 b) 7/15, 1/2, 4/5 c) 7/12, 19/24, 5/6
TIPS -
Think about how to convert the fractions so that they have the same denominator or simplify them to make it easier to work with them.
Remember – You MUST do the same to the numerator as you do to the denominator.
Find a common multiple which all the denominators have in common, for example
Multiples of 8 – 8, 16, 24, 32, 40
Have a go at these online!

Topic Work
1. Finish making your game.
2. Test all the links to check each page is connected correctly.
3. Get someone at home to test your game.
4. Create a feedback and evaluation form for people to complete after playing your game to
give you feedback on it. (this might include questions about how easy it was to play,
what the player thought of it, whether they’d like to play it again)
